Acid Reflux
I had pretty bad acid reflux for about five years. I was on strong medication and could not eat tomatoes or drink coffee or tea. It took Dr. Kim about 3 months of Acupuncture and Herbs of treatment but he got me off the medication. For the last two years I have been drinking between 3-4 espressos a day and can eat tomato sauce and raw chilies with no ill effect at all. I think it is fair to say that he cured me. I am a grateful patient of Dr. Kim and wish to share my experience with his future patients. I had over 15 years of painful menstruation. Sometimes not even 800 mg of Ibuprofen could mask the cramping. Other symptoms included my blood sugar dropping, my mind became foggy and I was tired, depressed and irritable. Weight Loss
I have tried several weight loss programs and controlling my hunger was always very difficult. I just love the weight loss acupuncture program, in not only that I'm losing weight, but I'm on a healthy diet and not feeling hungry anymore. During other programs, I was often grumpy and felt that I could not control my hunger anymore. After treatments, I feel more relaxed and it makes me feel more energetic. I have been so amazed with my progress. After the three treatments, my friend started noticing that I was losing weight. This has been the most successful weight loss program that I have done. Insomnia
I am 29 years old. I have suffered from insomnia for the last 10 years, but with my career, it was seriously affecting my life. I have tried a lot of medications - Lunesta, Trazopan, Lexopre and I was still waking up several times every night, so I was always tired physically and mentally. I was told about acupuncture by my mom and several articles from newspapers and magazines.
I was a little skeptic at first seeing as nothing had worked before, but my first treatment with Dr. Kim was like nothing I expected. He narrowed down my problems quickly and targeted them directly with an acupuncture treatment and sent me home with herbal pills to help the treatment. I actually felt tired that day and slept deeply for over 5 hours, just waking up once. After three treatments, I was able to sleep normally most nights. I highly recommend it to anyone, either insomnia or just stressed, acupuncture really is the best way to go.

Back Pain
I have suffered from low back pain on and off for many years. At the time of my first treatment I had been experiencing constant low back pain. I would wake up with the pain and it would last throughout the day. I have had chiropractic treatment in the past but never had experienced acupuncture. At the very first time with Dr. Kim I felt some difference. After three treatments I was completely pain free. I still, to this day, cannot believe how quickly I recovered. Knee Pain
I began seeing Dr. Kim about 12 years ago for treatment of my sprained ankle, at the time I recovered with just one treatment. Since then I always believed in his care and professionalism, so my whole family took the treatments from him - my husband's hip arthritis, my daughter's depression and chronic fatigue.

Low Back and Sciatica Pain
I have two herniated lumber discs with varying degrees of degenerated disc disease. I have been through several treatments and medications before I decided to try acupuncture treatment.
When I began acupuncture in November 2006, I wasn't able to stand or walk for more than 10 minutes before severe pain would shoot down from my right hip through my right leg. Acupuncture has given me my life back. It didn't happen overnight, but I steadily got better and less sciatic pain occurred after 7 treatments.
I started exercising slowly and recently walked comfortably.

Neck and Shoulder Pain
I am a college student and an experienced athlete that enjoy vigorous activities such as marathons, mountain biking and basketball. I often get injured during the biking that developed mild to severe shoulder pain for about 3 months. I visited the chiropractic doctor and he told me that my neck was twisted causing a pinch nerve, which radiates to the shoulder causing shoulder pain. I was then treated and I injured myself again. Now, my shoulder got twisted with a torn rotator cuff. I continued to visit him for 3 months and I was experiencing good results until my neck spasm incident. I suddenly experienced neck spasms, which gradually got worse. At one time, I could hardly move my neck due to the unbearable pain. My chiropractor administered electric stem, pulsing light and ultrasound, but it didn't show any positive results. So I came home during the summer vacation and my dad asked me to try an acupuncture treatment. I decided to call Dr. Kim and was treated the very same day. I was treated for 2 weeks, 2 times a week then I could wake up with almost no pain. I continued to take 2 more treatments, and finally I was pain-free. It was great and amazing. I am really thankful and grateful to Dr. Kim for his genuine efforts.

Doctors, MRIs, cat scans and x-rays couldn't find where the stabbing pains emanated from. In two sessions, my 6 months of agonizing pain was relieved. I cannot begin to thank Dr. Kim for his skill and expertise. In a last act of desperation, I have found a miraculous release from the pain. If you suffer from pain, please try whatever is necessary to relieve your pain.

Migraine Headache
I have suffered from migraine headaches for 17 years and have tried all kinds of medications that have been only partially effective, and also hurt my digestive system. However, with acupuncture I have had very effective (sometimes within minutes) relief from pain. Still I don't understand completely how it works, but for pain relief, I highly recommend it.

Shoulder Pain
Since I had a car accident in 2000, I have had shoulder problems. I went to a couple doctors, one who gave me a cortisone shot, went to physical therapy for a while, and later a chiropractor for quite a long time. They were able to fix my right arm but not my shoulders so I have lived with discomfort for a long time. In January of 2007 my legs started hurting, especially my left one, which according to a specialist, was due to a meniscus tear in my knee. I had surgery the following April and was told the pain and discomfort in my left leg would go away eventually. In April of this year (2008), I went back in because the pain and discomfort still continued so the doctor gave me a cortisone shot in my knee, which was only a temporary thing...
This is how I met Dr. Kim. I believe things happen for a reason and that good can come out of bad things that happen... After about 7 or 8 appointments my legs were free of pain and discomfort and my shoulders were feeling better...

Tennis Elbow
During the summer of 2008, I developed pain in my left elbow mostly attributed to tennis and golf. A couple of friends recommend me so I came to Kim's Acupuncture seeking relief of the pain. I knew that conventional medicine would have dictated that I stop playing tennis and golf for a few months, which did not appeal to me. So Dr. Kim and I worked out a treatment plan that allowed me to keep playing and within a matter of weeks, my pain was dramatically reduced. Now, two months later, I'm still pain-free and playing tennis and golf 2-3 times a week. I'm now a firm believer in the effectiveness of acupuncture!

Sprained Ankle
I sprained my left ankle in a soccer game. My ankle was very swollen and painful, and I couldn't walk with a normal gait. I was referred by my friend's mom, after the first acupuncture treatment, I was back on my feet and playing soccer again. After the second session, the pain was almost completely gone. Carpal Tunnel
I had a carpal tunnel problem with my right hand and wrist. When I sought treatment from Dr. Kim I was dropping items held in my right hand due to the pain that gripping the item caused. I had been wearing a wrist brace to prevent overuse but it was not fixing the problem. Dr. Kim treated my wrist and hand with acupuncture. It worked! After 5 treatments I never got pain again. I had two miscarriages and told by two fertility clinics that I had to have surgery to correct a separate uterus, would need an egg donor and had very little chance of becoming pregnant much less having a live birth. Sinus & Allergies
I had suffered from allergies since childhood. In recent years, they have been getting worse. The allergies start every year beginning in March. These allergies made me absolutely miserable with my eyes burning, tearing, my throat itching and scratching, and my nose being congested. In May last year, my cousin, who also had allergies, recommended that I see Dr. Kim. The first treatment was amazing. I felt my nose open and totally clear up within minutes. I had chronic sinus infections for over 10 years and had been on every type of antibiotic. This summer, after a steroid shot, and several types of antibiotics, my doctor sent me to a surgeon who, after an MRI and CT scan, said he was not sure surgery would work. I have been having acupuncture treatments with Dr. Kim for almost a year now. I originally came to him for chronic sinus congestion and seasonal allergies. Depression, Anxiety, & Stress Disorder
I have experienced a very high depression and anxiety level over the last few years due to working full time and going to school in the evenings. It was extremely difficult to manage the high stress and it was taking a toll on my mind and body. My friend told me about Dr. Kim and his acupuncture treatment so I decided it was a great idea. My name is Greg and I have known Dr. Kim for many years. I have depression, anxiety and bipolar disorder for many years. I am taking 5 different western medications. They help me under control for certain points, but I still have severe panic attacks in my life. Dr. Kim is wonderful. Stop Smoking
I have smoke for over 25 years and found it was time I quit. I have quit in the past with many withdrawal symptoms from weight gain, headaches to mild depression. Smoking has been a part of my daily routine from the time I get up in the morning until bedtime. When I met Dr. Kim, I knew he was the real deal. I explained that my desires to quit smoking, but did not want to gain my weight in the process. Thankfully, his practice has a larger than life scale, which you have to trip over to enter the office. To date I have not gained weight and am very happy about the results. Also, I had no withdrawal symptoms, in fact one of my co-workers told me how much more alive I was. After each session I had explosive energy and was excited about the rest of my day.
I would highly recommend Dr. Kim to anyone with health ailments or personal goals, which you would like to achieve.

I decided that I wanted to stop smoking last December after smoking a pack of cigarettes a day for over 35 years. I was very nervous because I had tried to quite before using patches and medications but nothing seemed to help relieve the craving for nicotine. After hearing that acupuncture might help, I made an appointment with Dr. Kim. After 3 sessions, I was able to stop smoking with no cravings, no anxiety and no physical symptoms. I was amazed!
